Libbs will count on a substation of its own power

December 07, 2015

The unit will guarantee full power supply of all our productive units

The Utilities infrastructure of our industrial complex of Embu das Artes will soon have an important strengthening: in the next months in 2016, our own power substation will become operational. It will count on 2 10 MVA transformers each and they will work on backup regimen. The substation will guarantee enough power to feed 100% of the demands of our units – Pharmaceutical, Pharmacochemical, and also the new Unit Biotec –, without us needing to use the public network.

Currently, we use the power from the public network at the times of low demand. In peak periods, in order to not overload it, we use generators. With the substation, this will no longer be necessary. In addition to Libbs, the initiative will benefit the population that will now count on the power currently consumed by our company.

A result of R$ 15 million investments, our project also included the facility of 1.4 kilometer of high tension transmission line connecting our substation to the main circuit, next to Rodoanel.
